Last month I wrote in this space that we at Lighthouse Imaging have a lot to be thankful for in 2020. I stand by that statement and truly feel blessed to be leading such a dynamic team and thoughtful company.
That said, the first half of the year, we were also met with many challenges in the business climate and I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge those as well. To be sure, today there are new barriers to product commercialization in the market: unpredictable regulations, and the health of our team and of our partners are more paramount than ever.
That is why I think we are in a position to take action. The pandemic isn’t going away. If anything, for the foreseeable future, it will be a part of our everyday lives. I am proud to stand with our partners as we overcome obstacles such as cross-contamination, spread of infection, and user error to create real progress in the operating room by giving doctors and clinicians the right technology, at the right time, at the right cost to support their needs.
At Lighthouse, I challenge our team each day to find a better way, with no discretion to where the idea came from. The best idea and the best tactical approach, wins. That serves our culture, that serves our partners, and I challenge you, our medical solution provider colleagues to adopt the same mantra.
I don’t get on my soapbox often; however, I feel passionate that our community is at the forefront of these battles. It is important that we continue to forge ahead, to not just focus on what is front of us but be instruments for change and not accept the status quo.
Thanks for your thoughts and consideration!
