To fulfill our growing needs, we are looking for qualified applicants for the following positions:

Electro-Mechanical Technician

Seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will work within the engineering team and assist in the assembly and testing of medical endoscopes that Lighthouse Imaging designs for their clients. Qualities that the candidate should exhibit is good with their hands, comfortable working with small, high precision assemblies, has a wide range of practical capabilities and can operate with minimal supervision.

Duties:

  • Assemble small mechanical parts according to drawing and assembly diagrams
  • Perform basic electronic troubleshooting using schematics and standard lab tools.
  • Fabricate electronic cable assemblies and integrate them into products.
  • Test prototypes according to plans and document results
  • Work with optical instrumentation to measure and test finished products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  •  Associate’s Degree in a technical program and 2+ years’ experience in working with small mechanical assemblies that include electronic, optical and mechanical components
  • Good communication and written skills and report writing
  • Good hand coordination and comfortable in working under microscopes occasionally.
  • Wants to learn new skills and be able to think on their feet

 

Opto-Mechanical Engineer

Seeking an experienced Opto-Mechanical Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the optical and mechanical design of  sophisticated optical instrumentation from conception through prototyping and testing.

Requirements:

  • BSME and 5+ years’ experience in mechanical and opto-mechanical product design and development, preferably in high precision devices
  • Able to develop optical models using CAD software such as Zemax and perform tolerance and performance analysis on designs
  • Able to develop 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks of miniature optical components and assemblies
  • Working knowledge of GD&T
  • Familiar with mechanical tolerancing of components
  • Conceptualize designs, lay out detailed drawings, select materials and create bills of materials
  • Familiar with standard machining techniques and designing for manufacturability
  • Able to work independently as well as within a creative technical team
  • Assist in the fabrication and testing of new products
  • Familiar with drawing management techniques and PDM systems
  • Familiarity with medical device design highly desirable
  • Comfortable with guiding technicians and skilled operators during assembly
  • Able to prioritize tasks and organize conflicting demands for time and resources
  • Good communication and written skills and report writing
  •  Perform other duties assigned
